Barolo D.o.c.g. Fossati

Right on the border, where the municipality of La Morra gives way to that of Barolo, you’ll find the historic Fossati vineyard of Dosio. The southeastern exposure, combined with the limestone-clay composition of the soil, delivers a wine with a strong personality, where a powerful structure encloses a dense and velvety texture.

A refined and elegant Barolo that, over the years, has managed to smooth out its edges while retaining its earthy, full, and deep character – characteristics that reflect the soul of this MGA (Single Vineyard) and reach their fullest expression over time.

The mention of Fossati is inseparably tied to the history of our winery: the first Dosio Barolo Fossati was indeed born in 1986, even before this area was identified as an MGA, a testament to our long-term vision and the desire to be pioneers – values that remain unchanged and essential both then and now.
